As expected, Apple has released iOS 6 for the public to download and install. We should all know about the new features already because of the beta versions that have been seeded to developers over the past couple months. This is just the polished and official version of the firmware.
The firmware update is over 500 MB so it may take a while if you update OTA from your device.
This new version of Apple’s operating system adds over 200 new features to the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. These features include Maps, PassBook, Siri updates, FaceTime over Cellular, and much more.
Of course, if you are already jailbroken on a previous firmware, you should not update until a new jailbreak method is released.
The direct download links for iOS 6 are on our downloads page now.
