It’s only been one day since the release of iOS 6 beta 1 for developers and MuscleNerd has already confirmed that the firmware is able to be jailbroken. The jailbreak was performed on an iPod Touch 4th generation device by iPhone Dev-Team member MuscleNerd.
Of coarse this jailbreak isn’t publicly available, and it will probably be a while before we get the jailbreak tool needed to jailbreak iOS 6. This is also a tethered jailbreak so there is still plenty of work ahead of the Dev Team before they can even think about releasing it to the public.
At least this is a start and most importantly, at least we know that the new firmware can be jailbroken.
