'HBO Now' to Launch Exclusively on Apple TV in April

Tim Cook and HBO CEO Richard Plepler were together on stage at today’s special event, and they revealed that the new HBO Now streaming service will launch exclusively on Apple devices in April. The service will work on Apple TVs, iPhones and iPads, at cost of $14.99 per month.

When it launches next month, the first month of HBO Now will be free, so this will be great for getting first-hand experience and deciding for yourself if it’s worth it or not. The subscription will include all of the original HBO programs from the past and the present.

In related news, the Apple TV has just been marked down to $69, making the device more affordable.
